Evidence of Deep Corruption in PGC Continues to Unfold, Chairman Maloney Explains

March 31, 2026

HARRISBURG – Today, another damning report of the corruption and systematic abuse of women has been published just days after Rep. David Maloney (R-Berks) asked his colleagues on the House Game and Fisheries Committee urged them to investigate the toxic culture within the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC).

“This month – Women’s History Month – as Republican chairman of the House Game and Fisheries Committee, I asked my colleagues to honor women in the workforce by holding an oversight hearing to investigate the many documented instances of harassment and abuse sexual in nature,” Maloney said. “I have never experienced a government organization so corrupt as the PGC under Gov. Josh Shapiro’s administration.”

“Members need to read the latest story ‘Soul crushing’: Seven former dispatchers describe toxic work environment at PA Game Commission, and read the facts for themselves, here is a taste of what the story reveals:

“If a particular warden would key up on the radio before Hudson would answer the warden, he would say, ‘Oh, I hope you get shot in the f***ing face,’ Just that kind of stuff.

“He literally would say things about certain [people], ‘Oh, I’d like to f*** that. I’d like to hit that.’ Or, it would be the opposite, like, ‘Oh, could you imagine ***king that?

Working with Hudson was “walking on eggshells” according to Czech, who also says Hudson would hunt for mistakes from the dispatchers only for the purpose of harassing, but never for identifying ways to improve performance.

The start of these investigative stories began with Two former employees accuse Pennsylvania Game Commission of toxic, retaliatory work culture. Since then, the floodgates have opened with current and former employees relating the exact same behavior at the PGC.

On another note, as I continue my own oversight investigation of the PGC, I noticed something peculiar recently. Nick Sechrist, the assistant director of dispatch and John Hudson’s direct supervisor, appeared on a 2024 episode of “Call of the Outdoors”, Matt Morrett’s PGC podcast. Matt is the PGC’s Director, Bureau of Marketing and Communications. In the episode Morrett says of centralized dispatch: “a whole lot goes on back there.”

Both Nick Sechrist and John Hudson appear to have recently deleted their LinkedIn profiles.

“These stories won’t stop until justice is served,” Maloney said. “Imagine if that were your daughter, your wife, your sister. Citizens need to call and email Shapiro relentlessly and demand an end to this institutionalized abuse and harassment.”
