Maloney Receives 2017 Champions for Children Award
5/24/2017
HARRISBURG – Rep. David Maloney (R-Berks) received a 2017 Champions for Children Award from Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children (PPC) in recognition of his hard work to improve public policies and increase state investments that benefit the Commonwealth’s children during the four legislative sessions he’s been in office.

“This award is meaningful to me because it’s about fighting for the children who may otherwise fall through the cracks. It’s about finding solutions to problems children shouldn’t have to face, defending them with legislation that makes a true difference in their lives,” Maloney said.

PPC presented Maloney with the award in conjunction with its 25th anniversary celebration at the state Capitol on Monday evening.

“Public policy impacts the life of every child in Pennsylvania and PPC's Champions for Children have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving child well-being," said Joan L. Benso, PPC president and chief executive officer.

Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children works to improve the health, education and well-being of children and youth in the Commonwealth. PPC is statewide, independent, non-partisan and non-profit.
